Montana FAQs / How to Get Here
(It's Easier Than You Think)
Getting to Bozeman is as easy as flying to our International Airport! No stagecoaches needed. We want to make sure you are safe and happy during your stay, so here are some Frequently Asked Questions to keep in mind when you're in our beautiful home state.
Am I in danger of a bear attack?
Probably. Brown, black, grizzlies, they're everywhere. Don't hike with bacon in your pocket. Moose are pretty dangerous too.
Will Yellowstone Explode?
Yes, eventually. Learn more about our future property values here.
Can I fish while attending the summit?
October is when the big browns are spawning, so if you catch one-be ready for a fight. Interested in a fishing adventure? Get started here.
Are there good restaurants in Montana?
We may have a 2.5:1 cow-to-human ratio, but southwest Montana brims with great places to get full. You want BBQ? Contemporary South Asian Fusion? Sushi? Upscale ranch fare? We gotcha.
Is alcohol legal?
There are 14 square miles per person in Montana and there's a brewery every square mile. If you like beer, you're in hoppy heaven.
Are There No Speed Limits in Montana?
Speed limits are, sadly, part of Montana life now. We are forced to drive a mere 80 miles an hour over mountain passes. Speed limits do not apply to our speed goats (antelope).
Where Can We See Wild Animals?
You can encounter wildlife anywhere in Montana, but the best viewing will be in Yellowstone National Park. In October the elk herds are gathering near Bozeman, you may see massive herds containing thousands of elk. Drive carefully!
